Science at Harlescott Junior School

Last week Harlescott Junior School blasted off Science week with a Cosmic




Year 3,4 and 5 all conducted a range of invesigations, creating some super 'WOW!' moments and gasps of excitement!

Year 4

 Year 4 had lots of fun exploring colour.  They explored the sprectrum of light though tints and shade in art aswell as composing imaginative poems entitled 'Colourful World'.  The chidlren used filter paper to explore the use of colour in foods as well as creating fireworks in jar!


Year 5

 Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed Sdcience week.  They made their own toothpaste from peppermint essence, gylcerine, cornflower, baking soda, salt and water.  As well as creating an Alkaseltzer Rocket that lifted off with a pop!

From 95% of the school surveyed 87% say that they enjoy science.
