They played very well managing to qualify for the next round. The girls played Mount Pleasant first and played very well, with Ceri creating chances for Livvy, they were the better side but were just unable to get that all important goal and it finished 0-0. Next up HJS played Greenfields, who were a strong team, the girls played very well and were unlucky to concede the vital goal in the last minute of the game to lose 1-0. With no break the girls then played Oxon HJS dominated the game but were again unable to score a goal and the game ended 0-0. In the final game against Longden HJS knew they needed to win to get through to the next round. The girls started the game very well and created lots of chances. Ceri went on a great run and hit the underside of the bar only for the referee to have judged the ball had gone out. Livvy then had a couple of chances from Freya’s long throws before Ceri went on another amazing run this time finishing from a tight angle to score her first HJS goal! HJS continued to dominate the game with Holly, in goal, only having one save to make. Next up was Greenfields, again HJS were dominating possession but it was Greenfields who scored the first goal. At 1-0 down the girls fought back well with Livvy running from inside her own half to equalise. It was quickly 2-1 when again Livvy drove through the Greenfields defence to score.
